Read the Room
A corporate wellness awareness campaign using hyper-realistic split-screen storytelling to expose the hidden burdens of workplace mental strain and drive deep emotional resonance.
- Style
Live-Action Dramatic Realism
- Role
Concept Development, Narrative Design, Workplace Mental Health Strategy
- Approach
Utilize a multi-pane grid layout mimicking a corporate remote meeting (featuring characters like Alex, Beth, Chris, Diana, and Evan) to systematically dismantle the "everything is fine" workplace persona.
The video subverts standard corporate expectations by juxtaposing a manager's calm presentation audio against individual feeds of employees silently weeping, wiping away tears, or confronting racing heart alerts on their smartwatches.
By building to a poignant realization where the team forces a cheerful smile the second they unmute, the narrative shifts sharply to a stark, minimalist black screen to present its crucial call to action ("One in five people in this meeting is not okay. Read the room.").
- Impact
Delivered a highly arresting corporate awareness piece that powerfully unmasks the reality of high-functioning anxiety and silent struggles in corporate settings.
By stripping away standard marketing polished tropes and replacing them with universal, relatable moments of emotional exhaustion, the campaign breaks through standard HR messaging to drive deep internal reflection, peer check-ins, and actionable institutional support.
